My End of the Year Goals and Monthly Updates

While scrolling on Tumblr one night, I came across a post stating, “What will you accomplish in the last three months of the year?” That post came at the perfect time because I needed to hear that. Well, see that not hear. I had so many ideas and goals that I wrote down, but I never looked at my goal list. I just kept going day by day without acknowledging what I needed to accomplish.

So, I decided on a different approach.

I am placing my goals here and updating them monthly!

Yes, I can make a poster board with my goals or a dry erase board with the goals displayed. However, this approach is a bit more beneficial for three reasons.

1. I can look back on this post a year from now and see my progress.

2. It keeps me accountable because I have to keep updating this blog post.

3. It forces me to work harder because I want to see constant growth in the things I do.

Along with updating the post, when (not if) I complete these goals, I will provide tips on what I did to discipline myself to do it. Just in case we share the same goal or something similar.

Latest Update

I finished 8 out of the 15 of the goals. On some of the goals, I was pretty close, but I did not finish it off. I completed more goals than I didn’t so that is something to be happy about. However, the goals related to my faith were not completed so that made me feel a little bittersweet. This was a good wakeup call before going into the year 2022. As I mentioned in this post, I was working more hours and on top of that: I was getting married. Of course, I am excited about those things, it made me realize that life can happen. You are not a failure if life happens, and you do not complete everything you set out to do. Just keep going. That is exactly what I am going to do in this post

Question

What goals do you want to accomplish before the year is over?
