How to have the best experience in Epcot!
Oh, Epcot. Which Country would you like to visit?
I posted recently about how to have a fantastic day in Magic Kingdom here.
However, it won’t sit well with me if I do not talk about Epcot too!
The Epcot theme park is based in 11 countries, including Mexico, Germany, China, and more. Along with the countries, they have another section called “Future World,” which is based on space and agriculture.
So you should know that the rides in this park are one of a kind.
This was my favorite park when I went to Disney at ten years old, and it is still my favorite park now. With many fun rides and good food, Epcot is a memorable theme park.
That’s why I am here; to help you with your itinerary for Epcot so you can have the best experience ever!
Of course, some of the same rules from Magic Kingdom apply, such as getting there early and booking the popular rides in advance. Nonetheless, let’s get to your day at the Epcot theme park!
1. Ride Guardians of the Galaxy
This is one of the newer rides at the Epcot theme park. This ride is my absolute favorite ride out of Walt Disney World. As I mentioned before, I am not a thrill seeker. If anything, I would rather be on a slow comfy ride. This ride, however, is super fun, fast, and exciting!
When you first get to the ride, you must go through this presentation about why you travel through the galaxy. It is fun to hear it the first time, but it is too long of an introduction if you are ready to get on the ride. Once you get on the ride, you will go through the galaxy while the Guardians talk. Suddenly, you will be sent backward quickly with a classic song everyone knows. Along the ride, your seat will turn while you are still going at high speed.
If you get sick quickly, I would be cautious before getting on. However, once you reach the end, you will want to get back on!
2. Go to outer space on Mission Space
Mission Space is a simulation ride where you sit in a space shuttle and fly through space. There are some warning signs, though. If you are catoptric, do not get on this ride. The shuttle is a very tight space. Also, there is a green side and an orange side. On the green side, you are flying around Earth, which is much calmer. However, the orange side takes you to Mars. The orange side is much more intense, and the zero gravity makes many people feel nauseous afterward. However, it would be best if you still gave it a try.
3. Experience a Race Track
Test Track is a thrill ride but isn’t as bad as the other rides. You will design your car before getting on the ride. There aren’t any crazy twists or turns, so that anyone can do it. Afterward, you will go through a car dealership where you can purchase a car from Chevrolet. I thought it was fake until I saw the car salesman standing by them. Toward the exit, you can buy a card with your car on it to keep as a counter.
4. Go Soarin through the sky
The famous ride called Soarin is a must when you visit Epcot. Soarin is a relaxed simulation ride where you feel like you are soaring through the world. You will visit Paris, Egypt, and many more places. Also, you will be hit with a pleasant aroma in certain parts of the world. It is a beautiful ride, but you will be taken off the ground.
5. Eat in each of the countries.
Each Country has authentic food that you would typically eat in these countries. I would suggest trying Ramen in Japan, Pizza from Italy, School Bread from Germany, and much more. I know there is a Tiktok challenge where you can drink worldwide. I will be honest; you will not finish the challenge sober. For safety purposes, be very mindful and also remember kids surround you.
6. Watch the Epcot Forever Fireworks show
This was one of the things I regret not doing. I got so tired that I did not get the chance to watch the Fireworks show. Epcot and Magic Kingdom are the only Disney parks with a fireworks show. The show starts at 9 PM so I suggest heading to the fireworks before then.
7. Eat in space at Space 220
This restaurant is super hard to book for, so I suggest booking this place way ahead of time. When you come to the restaurant, you will get into an elevator that takes you from Earth into Space. Once you walk into the dining area, you will be greeted with the sights of Earth. Make sure to wave at the restaurants that will be outset the windows! The food is also pretty good, and it’s just an overall good time.
8. Take a Picture in front of the Epcot Ball
Just like taking a photo in front of Cinderella Castle or front of the Tree of Life, you have to have a picture in front of the Epcot Ball. I do not remember seeing any professional photographers, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. Make sure to take a photo of yourself lifting the ball!
The Epcot theme park should be added to your Disney World itinerary immediately. There is plenty more to do in Epcot, but with the list above, I touched on some of the hot spots. If you have suggestions on what to do in Epcot, please share in the comments: the more ideas, the merrier.

Epcot was also my favorite park at Disney. Loved your suggestions on things to do. I hope to catch the fireworks next time!

Epcot is my favorite park as well! I will never get tired of visiting no matter how often I go. Thank you for reading! 🙂
