Top 7 Disney World Restaurants that You Must Try

Disney World is a super fun and thrilling vacation for family and friends, as well as a girl’s trip, honeymoon, and the like. With all the rides and the excitement, you are bound to get hungry. The parks provide quick services to grab a quick snack, but Disney has some lovely restaurants worth trying. Disney World Restaurants are not all character-based. However, the character-based restaurants are pretty memorable.

Adding some of the sit-down restaurants to your vacation can really tie the whole Disney Vacation together. The restaurants I listed were chosen because they either had good, memorable food and/or fantastic dining experiences. They are also very good at accommodating your dietary restrictions.

1. ‘Ohana at the Polynesian Resort

Dinner at “Ohana

Ohana is my favorite Disney Restaurant so far. From the atmosphere, the food, and the views, it is such a fantastic experience. The Dinner menu has food such as steamed shrimp, pork dumplings, Teriyaki Steak, and, of course, the Oh so famous “Ohana Noodles.” I heard a story about how they removed the noodles from the menu, and people made such a huge fuss that they brought them back.

I am so glad they did!

Of course, they have different types of food that they bring out, and if you want more food, they will bring it out to you! It is an endless buffet! Well, until you get full.

They also have breakfast, where you will get “Stitch Waffles” and the “POG” juice. They kept refilling the juice for us to the point they left us a pitcher.

Breakfast at ‘Ohana

While you are eating your breakfast, Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch dance around and take pictures with everyone! So, it is a fun character dining experience.

I will WARN you that it is hard to book a reservation here, but it is not impossible. We were able to book Ohana 3 times during our Disney Trip, but it was made possible because people like to cancel at the last minute. If I were you, I would book a reservation as soon as you see one available.

2. Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Villas

Sanaa is an Indian-style African restaurant. While you eat your meal, you can view the animals that roam the resort. Sanaa is famous for its bread service. It is an appetizer with five different types of Naan bread and nine sauces. As a picky eater, I really enjoyed the meal a lot!

For my entree, I got butter chicken and Rajma Masala (bean soup). The butter chicken was very kid-friendly and not overwhelming with spices. My favorite part of the entree was my husband’s braised beef, which was cooked to perfection.

It was not hard at all to book a reservation here, so I recommend trying this restaurant at least once.

3. Royal Table at Magic Kingdom

Who doesn’t want the chance to eat inside Cinderella Castle? The Royal Table provides an experience for eating and taking pictures with Disney Princesses.

Upon Entering the castle, you will take a photo with Cinderella herself before heading upstairs to your seat. You will pick one appetizer, entree, and dessert from the menu per person there. The braised beef was delicious for my appetizer. I did get the pasta, and when I first looked at it, I thought I would not like it. Looks are deceiving because the pasta was excellent.

During the meal, they will also hand out stars, swords for the boys, and wands for the girls. It was a nice little touch to the Princess experience.

4. Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater at Hollywood Studios

I honestly recommend coming here for the experience. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is a restaurant with the 1950s feel of a drive-up movie.

When you walk into the restaurant, you are brought to your seat, but it is actually a car! You sit in your “car,” and cute old sci-fi clips play on the big screen. The overall experience is something anyone should get the chance to do.

The food was okay. My favorite meals were the onion rings and the Oreo shake. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the entrees. Nonetheless, you should still check it out!

5. Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge

I tried Boma for breakfast, and to be honest, we booked a reservation for the next day. Boma is an African-style buffet that blew us away! They had Simba waffles, along with eggs, omelets, biscuits, fruits, bacon, sausage, and more. They also had someone cutting your ham, and I recommend getting the brown sauce. It was so tasty!

Boma Breakfast

One of the items that was recommended to us was the jams that they had. They have homemade orange, grape, and strawberry jam that they make. All three of the jams were soooo good. Personally, I do not like strawberry jam, but I kept going back for seconds while at Boma!

Bagel with Homemade Jam and Nutella

Also, the famous POG juice from Ohana is here. Boma also serves dinner, and I have heard good things about the dinner service. If the dinner service is anything like the breakfast, I know it is worth it.

6. Space 220 at Epcot

This is one of the hardest Disney restaurants to get a reservation. I still have not gotten the chance to eat here yet. I have never seen an open slot for a reservation for this place. However, when you look up the restaurant, you can understand why.

Space 220 gives you the chance to have dinner while in space! Once you enter the restaurant, you will watch yourself shoot off into space. Once you reach your table, you will see Earth and an astronaut waving at you while eating.

As far as the food, it is American-style food with meals such as steaks, burgers, tuna tartare, and more. You have a choice of an appetizer and an entree per person. Now, is the food good? That’s a question that you will have to answer when you visit.

7. Chef Art Smith Homecomin’ at Disney Springs

Let’s take a break from the parks and head on over to Disney Springs. Disney Springs is a boardwalk-style place that has loads of restaurants, stores, and activities to do with the family. However, there is one restaurant that I recommend trying, and it’s Homecomin’.

Church Lady Eggs and Honey Chicken Biscuit

Homecomin’ is a southern-style restaurant serving fried chicken, mashed potatoes, ribs, and the tasty honey butter chicken biscuits. The food was delicious, and the workers were nice and knowledgeable.

Fried Chicken Entree

I will say this can be a hard place to book a reservation as well, but we got lucky with our spot. I will encourage you to check repeatedly to book a reservation here, just like with ‘Ohana.

There are plenty of Disney restaurants to try out that are not listed, such as Jiko, Steakhouse 71, Kona, Crystal Palace, and the like. While adding these restaurants to your trip itinerary, I encourage you to explore more restaurants along with these. I would love for you to have the best Disney World experience.
